If you had 5 minutes to preach right now, what would you share?
THE GREAT COMMISSION, Matthew 28:19, commissions us to tell the world about Jesus and teach them His ways. Our primary target group is children…Why? The BIGGEST unreached “people group” on Earth, and the greatest “harvest” for God’s Kingdom is children!
Christian Leaders around the world have joined together with the vision of Transforming the World through the 4-14 Window….kids within the age range of 4-14. Global and regional conferences are developing movements around the world. It is our window of opportunity to reach and empower millions of children with the Holy Spirit throughout Asia.

Where have you experienced success in your ministry?
We have so many wonderful stories of God’s grace and power. Here is one: We went to a school of 1200 students where only 12 of them were Christian. There was a group of 10 Christian school teachers in the school, and we trained them for 3 days to do a Gospel Entertainment Evangelism Show for the kids. They performed the show for every class in the school. Within one week, over 800 students gave their hearts to Jesus!
We have trained hundreds of children’s workers and teams in Thailand and Vietnam, and they have reached tens of thousands of children. Many of the stories of individual children are quite moving. Since we began in Children’s MInistry in 2007, over 14,000 kids have received Christ!
We also had a local NGO (World Vision) perform a Drug Free (Prevention) show at the Pattaya youth prison. 400 teens (most arrested for drugs) attended. After the show we had a local church share how accepting and living for Christ will be the most powerful force against the temptation of drugs…225 teens accepted the Lord in the prison! Now the church is discipling them weekly with the full endorsement of the warden!

Where have you experienced failure in your ministry?
We have been working for over 2 years to get our materials and curricula translated into Burmese and to take our ministry into Burma. There have been many difficulities and even some direct opposition to this endeavor.
We have not given up on this and are still committed to helping the people in Burma. We don’t really see this as a “failure”, but as a challenging opportunity. Please pray with us!

What is the focus of your ministry?
We are the directors of a Thai foundation called thinkSMALL. We focus on kids. We work with churches, NGOs (Christian agencies) and other Christian groups to reach children in a holistic way. We focus on 3 areas:
- Children’s Evangelism and Discipleship— we use many tools including fun Gospel Entertainment shows and interactive curricula
- Social Ministry including Drug Prevention, Sexual Purity and Wholeness, and Children at Risk issues
- Leadership and Ministry Training for Children’s Workers.

Share your heart for Thailand / Southeast Asia!
We love the people of Thailand and Southeast Asia. Especially, our hearts go out to the children here. There are many social problems including child trafficking, child prostitution, child drug abuse, poverty, etc, but the biggest issue is spiritual—these kids desperately need the love of Jesus!

Tell us about your call to missions / ministry!
Wow, OK! In 2004, we lived in the Seattle area. We both had great careers (Gary was a National Manager for the PowerBar division of Nestle, Paula was a NeuroDiagnostic Technologist at Evergreen Hospital). We had just purchased our brand new “dream” home and a new “dream” car. We had great friends and were leaders in the Marriage MInistry group at Eastside Church. We were living the “American Dream”. Then, we went to Thailand for a vacation…
To make a long story short, we both felt led by the Holy Spirit to quit our jobs, sell our home and car, and move to Thailand to work as Missionaries. In 2005, we did it! For 2 years we worked with adults, but in 2007, we realized that our “calling” was to work with children. Now, we feel like we are living “God’s Dream” for us! It’s great!

Gary and Paul serve as Foursquare Missionaries based in Bangkok, Thailand. They have served in Thailand full-time since 2005 and are the Directors of thinkSMALL, a foundation that reaches out to children aged 4-14 throughout Thailand and Southeast Asia.
